Helping Houghton Lodge Gardens to open and welcome visitors once again.
Just as quickly as attractions closed at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, they are opening again. Much to the delight of the businesses, their staff and their visitors.
We have worked with Houghton Lodge Gardens since 2010 (they were our very first client who we provided our off-site marketing team solution to) so when they were unable to open on the 1st April for the 2020 season, it was devastating to think that the future of the garden was in jeopardy.
Over the last couple of weeks, as the restrictions have lifted and attractions have been allowed to open, we have worked with the owners at Houghton Lodge Gardens to help get them open and ready. This has included setting up an all-new online ticketing system within a week, updating visitor mapping and managing announcements of the re-opening.
From Wednesday 8th July, visitors to Houghton Lodge Gardens near Stockbridge, will be able to explore and enjoy the Grade II* Gardens of the charming 18th Century Cottage Orné.
We couldn't be happier for them because it means that some income will be generated which they desperately need.
Our work with Houghton Lodge Gardens has always been about providing an off-site marketing team. We pick up whatever needs doing - from social media management, liaising with the press, sending photos to media requests, organising events through to some very basic, yet time-consuming marketing admin that the owners simply do not have the time to do. They know that they can rely on our team to find a solution -and in this instance, it was an online ticketing solution, ticket reporting and a lot of reassurance, brainstorming and persistence.
We are delighted to have helped them through a very difficult period and now our work focuses on showcasing them as the stunning Hampshire garden that they are.
The Gardens and Honesty Tearoom will be open Wednesday – Sunday 11.00am-4.30pm after being awarded the ‘We’re good to go’ status by Visit England which is an industry standard and consumer mark to reassure customers that the attraction adheres to Government and public health guidance.
Entry to the Garden is by pre-booked advance ticket, with a restriction on daily numbers to ensure the health and safety of both staff and visitors. To aid with social distancing, visitors will need to pre book an entry slot.
